About BCFirst Assembly

BCFirst Assembly is a citizen-centered governance initiative focused on strengthening local accountability, independent representation, and cooperation across British Columbia. Many British Columbians feel increasingly disconnected from decisions affecting their communities, healthcare, public services, economic opportunities, and future direction. At the same time, many people believe modern political structures have become overly centralized and increasingly disconnected from ordinary citizens. BCFirst Assembly was created to explore a more locally grounded approach within British Columbia’s existing parliamentary and democratic framework. The Assembly supports the idea that elected representatives should remain directly accountable to the people who elected them, while still being able to cooperate voluntarily with others on matters of shared concern. This is not a political party. The BCFirst Assembly does not seek to replace democratic institutions, control elected representatives, or impose centralized ideological discipline. Participation is voluntary, cooperative, and grounded in transparency, local representation, and peaceful democratic continuity. The goal is straightforward: to help create a future where British Columbians once again feel they have a meaningful voice in the direction of their communities and province.
